Summary: | Background : the Making Pregnancy Saver strategy ( MPS ) , basic emergensi
obstetric neonatal care (BEONC) at the health center became one of the outputs
strategy. BEONC begins with training activities and was followed by monitoring
the effectiveness of the program through in- service training and continuing
education . As the training program , facilitators needed to run optimally . Head of
the health center is expected to perform the role of facilitator .
Objective: To determine the extent to which the implementation of the health
centers BEONC characteristics possessed by the Head of Puskesmas in their role
as facilitators in- service training .
Methods : The study was a qualitative study conducted with a case study design .
The subjects were the 10 people Chief Health Center , 130 BEONC managers that
have or have not attended the training and the Head of the Department of
Maternal and Child Health Banjarnegara district . In collecting the data ,
researchers used data collection techniques that are primary ( attitude
questionnaires and in-depth interviews ) and secondary data .
Results: The health center is making progress in the implementation of BEONC,
shows that there is a very large role of the head of Public Health Center. The head
showed that attitudes must be owned by a facilitator, who is being supportive of
them, have adequate knowledge, trust, assist, respect, have a clear objective,
assertive, energetic and always do the evaluation.
Conclusion: The Community Health Center has increased clinical performance
BEONC indicate a learning process as a learning organization by applying the
principles of in-service training. Head Public Health Center plays a central role in
the learning process as a facilitator.
