| Summary: | Directorate General of Forestry Planning, since 2006 has developed a
forest management concept which becoming a possible factors to realize forest
sustainability. The concept is realized through a development of the Forest
Management Unit (KPH) which expected can drive the accomplishment of forest
sustainability and community prosperity, as well as able to accommodate a local
economic demands and interests (PAD).
So far, in Indonesia has been established 68 (sixty eight) units of KPH
which have been institusional and spread to almost Indonesia�s region. In the
process, there are some KPHs which quite successfully implementing a forest
management. One of them is KPH Yogyakarta which stipulated through by The
Minister of Forestry Decree with No.SK.439/Menhut-II/2007 dated on 13th
December 2007.
