description Intense competition in the food industry is a normal and natural. One of the industry strategy to attract customers is to make products that accentuate the hallmark of an area. This strategy can make consumers who visit the area have the desire or even the need to buy such products as gift hand. Tofu chips Yuka need the addition of secondary packaging to keep the product quality from damaged to chemical factors, physics, and biological. This research aims to produce packaging design concept and determine packaging recommendation based on the highest number of sales. With enhanced functionality and aesthetics of the product protection is expected to create willingness to buy. In the research, the packaging development is done by using the approach of Value Analysis method through four stage. The first is information stage by identifying the function and attributes of packaging. The second is creativity stage, make concept design with FAST diagram and combination diagram. The third is analysis and evaluation the performance and value calculation. Calculating the performance by multiplying the weight of pairwise comparison and value of preference test. After that, calculating the value by comparing the performance and cost. In the presentation stage, product with both packaging new and old packaging will be sold to consumers for 5 days. The selected concept is a concept that has the highest sales. There are 8 packaging concept (concept A-concept H), distinguished by the thickness of material, the handle forms, and the percentage of mica. Based on the calculation of the value concept, product with new packaging concept has gained 62.5% higher value than the old packaging, and 37.5% has a lower value. Although the weight of product with new packaging is reduced from 200 grams into 180 grams as well as sales on the market test are not done on holidays, but the products are still in demand by consumers and have five times more sales than the products with old packaging. Last packaging concept with most salling is concept B.
