Summary: | Batik Cina entered Indonesia in particular Pekalongan preceded by the approval and
signatories of Indonesia to ASEAN - China Free Trade Area ( ACFTA) November 4, 2002.
Sustainability of Batik Pekalongan is very important to people's livelihood and Batik Pekalongan
is inherited from generation to generation . This study aims to : 1 ) Identify the competitiveness
of Batik Pekalongan against Batik Cina. 2 ) Identify strategies competitiveness Batik Pekalongan
against Batik Cina products.
The method uses a qualitative descriptive study to determine competitiveness and
competitiveness strategy Batik Pekalongan against China. The selection of informants in the
study conducted by purposive and snowball. The research data includes secondary data from
online media, website Pekalongan, websites DISPERINDAGKOP and UMKM Kota Pekalongan,
indeph for primary data include interviews with small businesses and community Batik
Pekalongan in Pekalongan City .
The results of the study showed that the competitiveness of Batik Batik Pekalongan
higher than Batik Cina interms of product, marketing and services (advertising and brand).
Competitiveness strategy of small industrial businesses Batik Pekalongan against Batik Cina
products, namely, The use of product strategy Batik Pekalongan using labeling of Batik
Pekalongan, advertising strategies and socialization services to the community, strengthen brand
and marketing strategy retain the quality and innovate to create a refreshing trend batik
marketing.
