Description
Summary:Development of small-size power plants by using a permanent magnet can be used to generate electricity that can later be used as an alternative energy source to harness wind energy and micro-hydro or a topic that a lot of research done today. This study discusses the influence of the placement of the permanent magnet synchronous generator with variables are the distance magnets and the air gap between the rotor and stator of the output voltage of synchronous generator permanent magnet. Generator design in this study is a synchronous generator with a kind of Axial Flux Permanent Magnet (AFPM), low speed with a 2-1 rotor stator with stator core and without the use of ferrite core. The synchronous generator design using the application of the Finite Element Method Magnetics (FEMM). Simulation results that the highest voltage obtained is at a distance of 0.5 mm air gap. At Coreless stator voltage of 62.80 V is the highest while on corestator of 139.62 V. While most existing input power rating of the generator using the ferrite core is equal to 128.45 watts, and the input power rating of the generator with the smallest there is no stator core is equal to 30.76 watts.
