description Degradation process of Direct Violet 35 has been carried out by Pseudomonas aeruginosa through azoreduktase enzyme activity. In this study, the factors that affect process of degradation were investigated including contact time, number of bacterial colonies, initial dye concentration, and pH of dye solution. The process of Direct Violet 35 dye degradation was analyzed by UV-Vis spekrofotometer. The results showed that the degradation of Direct Violet 35 dye with Pseudomonas aeruginosa is optimum with the time of contact 48 hours, bacterial colonies number of 2,89 x 1010 cfu, initial dye concentration 15 mg/L, and pH 6.5. The result of UV analysis indicated that the dye structure changed after the degradation process.
