description The aims of this research was to determine the effect of Aeromonas hydrophila vaccines against immune system of African catfish (Clarias sp.) after transporting by measuring value of antibody titer, survival rate (SR), mean time of death (MTD), and specific growth. This research was conducted in four treatments and two replications with observed factors were vaccination and transportation. The vaccine was administered by immersion and intraperitoneal injection. Two controls were applied as unvaccinated and untransported. Immersion vaccinations method (P3) was done by dipping the fish in suspension of vaccine in water at 10 8 cells/ml for thirty minutes. Injection vaccination (P4) was done by injecting vaccine at dose of 10 8 cells/fish intraperitoneally. The second vaccination (booster) was conducted after a week and tranporting performed one week later. Antibody titers were observed before and after vaccination, booster, and transporting. Observations of the survival rate, and the mean time of death were done for two weeks. The results showed that vaccines maintain the antibody titer after transporting (P<0,05), reach up 2 4 whereas the control treatment (non-vaccinated) were just 2 1 . Vaccination also increased the survival rate (P<0,05) after transporting until 71.6% compare to control 36.8%. The most effective methods was intraperitoneally injection with the antibody titer values reached 2 4 , survival rate reached 71.6%, and the mean time of death was until 150.15 hours. Vaccination also delayed the mean time of death of fishes (P<0,05). However, the vaccination was not affected on the fish growth rate.
