description There are planty of tea clones grown in Indonesian, but the response of a clone could be different in different locations. High yield and stable tea clones were needed by farmer and tea plantation industries. Stability analysis of promising clone was required before recommended as a new cultivar. This research aimed to identify superior tea clones of PGL series thus had a high yield and high stability in different environments. Research was done at Pagilaran plantation, Batang, Central of Java, since April 2013 up to June 2013 for primer data and data since 2007 up to 2012 from Research and Development Division Pagilaran plantation for secondary data. Research was done using RCBD (Random Complete Block Design) with three replications, it was applied in two locations (Andongsili and Kayulandak). Nine clones of PGL series were used in this research, they are PGL 1, PGL 3, PGL 4, PGL 7, PGL 10, PGL 11, PGL 12, PGL 15, and PGL 17. Parameters observed were shoot yield each clone (gram/m2/pick) for primer data and shoot yield (gram/plot/year) for secondary data. Additional data was morphological characteristics clones and rainfall. The result of secondary data which had genotype by environment interaction was analysed with Eberhart & Russell (1966) and GGE Biplot method. Based on the Eberhart & Russel and GGE Biplot analysis, the result showed that the clones which had high yield and stable in Andongsili was PGL 12, in Kayulandak were PGL 10 and PGL 4, and across ten environments (two location combined with five years tea production) were PGL 12, PGL 10, PGL 15 and PGL 4. Clones which showed well adapted in favorable environments and specific location (Andongsili) was clone PGL 3.
