Consumption of fiber may prevent diabetes mellitus , heart disease , and other diseases associated with obesity . Lollipop is a preferred food of children , generally contain high calories without other useful content . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of flour E. cottonii the fiber and iodine as well as determine the level of consumer acceptance . The data obtained were analyzed with a completely randomized design followed by DMRT. The parameters tested include fiber content , iodine , sugar , water , and ash as well as joy . The study was designed with five treatments, namely the addition of flour E.cottonii concentration of 0.00 % , 0.25 % , 0.50 % , 0.75 % , and 1.00 % and 1 control treatment ( commercial lollipop ) . Based on the analysis of variance , treatment significantly affected the levels of fiber , iodine , water , and ash on a lollipop , while the treatment did not significantly affect sugar levels . DMRT showed that in general, each treatment was significantly different , but some treatments are not significantly different as a4 and a5 treatment on fiber assay . The test results crude fiber , iodine , sugar , water , ash row on the addition of 0.00 E.cottonii % , 0.25 % , 0.50 % , 0.75 % , and 1.00 % : 1.55 % , 1.94 % , 2.25 % , 2.44 % , 2.24 %, 18.98 ppm , 20.21 ppm , 21.03 ppm , 37.86 ppm , 39.21 ppm, 96.41 % , 95.72 % , 94.5 % , 93.57 % , 91.93 %, 0.017 % , 0.56 % , 1.03 % , 2.87% , 5.23 %, 0.08 % , 0.10 % , 0.11 % , 0.11 % , 0.13 % . While consumer preference test showed a decreased level of preference for the attributes of color, flavor , texture , flavor and overall liking . The best treatment is the treatment a3 views of consumer response , fiber and iodine content of 2.25 % and 21.03 ppm .
