not least in the city / district government In West Kalimantan Province. Regional economic
development is an integral part of national development, which is an effort to increase the
capacity of local government in order to create a reliable and professional capability in running
and providing excellent service to the people. The success of the local government in
implementing economic development, can be seen from the economic growth achieved by the
region. Theoretically allocation of capital expenditures by local governments is one of the factors
that may affect economic growth.
The purpose of this study demonstrate empirically the causality relationship between
growth in capital spending and economic growth in the district / city in West Kalimantan
between 2007 and 2011.
The sample in this study from budget realization report (LRA ) and the economic growth
data 2007 to 2011. Furthermore, the Granger Causality analysis. Usefulness to determine the
pattern of causality between capital expenditure and economic growth.
Based on the results of the study using Granger Causality analysis technique, the results
obtained: Hypothesis supported because there is a one way causality is growth capital
expenditures affects economic growth for 2007 to 2011. It is shown from the value of the
probability of growth capital expenditures affects economic growth by 0.0202, which is smaller
than α = 0.05 level. |
