Summary: | The network infrastructure has become a foundation in implementation of
information technology as well as the complex asset because due to either rapid
development of technology and the changing needs of the organization. Therefore
it needs to be managed to maximize performance in order to achieve the
organizational goals. Network infrastructure that has been built by the Regional
Government of Gorontalo Province until 2013 have connected to 51 points which
consists of 32 institution, 10 points of Regional Office of Technical Services Unit,
3 points in the districts / city and 6 point hotspots in public areas. The capability
level of network infrastructure governance should be periodically and objectively
measured to ensure whether the network infrastructure resources are effectively
managed.
This research measured the capability level of the network infrastructure
governance at Gorontalo Provincial using Control Objectives for Information and
Related Technology 5 (COBIT 5) framework. IT-Related Goals consisted of
optimization of IT assets, resources and capabilities and information security,
infrastructure and application processing. The measurement using 16 processes of
COBIT 5 equipped with survey of 8 respondents who serve as local network
infrastructure executive, obtained by mapping the 16 process with used with
responsibility of the staff.
