Summary: | The road routine maintenance equipments are fleets of equipment needed in
helping a number of road routine maintenance work. National roads in South
Sumatera that located separately make the equipment owned must be distributed
to the work sites. The equipment distributed by a pattern which allow the
equipment located permanently in one location for a certain period of time makes
equipments insufficient if compared with the amount of work. Optimization and
scheduling is considered as alternative to the existing distribution pattern in order
to solve the equipment shortage problem.
The number of equipments can be used and work to be completed is used as the
basis in scheduling. Equipment scheduling should ensure all equipment can be
used in several locations within a time duration without any equipment clashed.
Genetic algorithm optimization uses genes and chromosomes as problem
representation in optimization the allocation for equipment's scheduling with a
particular way in order to optimize the equipment mobilisation that reduce the
mobilisation costs .
Scheduling and optimization for 46 equipments that used to help works at 12
different locations succesful without any clashed in equipment utilization. The
scheduling result indicates motor grader and wheel Loader are two equipments
with the greatest moving frequency so require the largest mobilization costs.
Based on overall cost evaluation, the application of the allocation and scheduling
system would cost approximately Rp.1.089.510.600 or smaller Rp.236.725.000
from costs that previously incurred to meets the equipment needs. |
