MINING was actually addressed for community around mining area as their
responsibilty to the mining activities in increasing social quality of life either
before or after the activities implemented. However, there were a lot of problems
appeared in the implementation of the program. It was caused by many people
who dissatisfied with the benefits gettered. This research aims to identify how and
why the diversity of social response toward the implementation of community
development occured.
This research applied qualitative descriptive method using indepth
interview data collection, observation, and documentation study, purposive
samples in this research was conducted at Pematang Tiga and Bang Haji Sub-
District, Bengkulu Tengah District.
This research showed the diversity of social respons toward the program
ranging from those who were satisfied with the benefits, those who were
dissatisfied with no benefits and the community with no response. There were a
lot of things as the reasons of their response such as the implementation of the
program was not as expected, many programs were still not implemented yet, the
company�s profit were not appropriate to what community obtained, less of
benefits and the equity in distributing of the program. |
