Aim : To study the correlation between Ki-67 and VEGF-C
expression in ductal invasive breast carcinoma.
Method: 36 paraffin embedded tissue of invasive ductal
carcinoma of the breast were stained
immunohistocemically using Streptavidin-Biotin method
with monoclonal antibody anti Ki-67 and anti VEGF-C.
Ki-67 expression was evaluated by the percentage of
breast carcinoma test nuclear expressed Ki-67. VEGF-C
expression was evaluated by the percentage of breast
carcinoma test cytoplasm expressed VEGF-C. The
relationship between each variables were analyzed by
chi square method.
Result: Statistical analysis showed there was no
significant correlation between Ki-67 and VEGF-C
expression in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast
p= 0,790 (p<0,05).
Conclusion: In this study, Ki-67 expression is not
correlated with the VEGF-C expression in Invasive
