Summary: | Credit point is the accumulation value of each item or activity that must be
accomplished by instructor in Ministry of Manpower and Trasmigration of
Republic Indonesia. Instructors were facing difficulties in preparing credit point
manually. Differences understanding of the rules led to the preparation of credit
point weighting of error for each activity assessed. Efficiency in the government
operations has been a demand of institutional performance assessment.
This research aimed to determine the most appropriate expert system model
to be used to automate the decision making, manage information, improve the
quality and productivity of instructors. The expert system was built by using rulebased
approach. A web is created to present this automation approach.
Representation of instructor knowledge collected on the rules based method to
establish conception models and develop web design follow the prototyping
stages of web with modeling of UML (Unified Modeling Language). The
prototype application built with the PHP programming language, MySQL
database and CSS to display user interface.
The study produced a prototype iPAK (Intelligent Formulation of Credit),
which is an intelligent system in the preparation of credit poin rate applied
instructor with the rule-based approach to obtain the number of credits that reflect
the performance of the instructor. IPAK prototype illustrates three main activities
of the instructor, the assessment team / verification, and officials of the approver.
Testing of the prototype conducted with functional testing and data validation test
by triangulation of data sources. Prototype runs in accordance with the expected
activity scenarios both in terms of functionality and appearance so that
stakeholders recommended to develop a real-scale applications to automate the
preparation of credit scoring instructor at the work unit level.
