The existence of a positive self-efficacy can direct visual differently abled students in determining appropriate coping strategies for dealing with stress experienced. This study aims to determine how the psychological dynamics of self-efficacy among visual differently abled students. The study involved 3 visual differently abled students who study in one university in Yogyakarta with different backgrounds because internal factors (from birth) and external factors (accident and sickness). The method used is descriptive qualitative phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and observation. Collected data is then analyzed using a modified method of Stevick - Colaizzi - Keen of Moustakas (1994). The results showed that there are five themes to illustrate the self-efficacy of visual differently abled students in this study that does not feel different from other students without a disability, an open attitude about the environment and optimistic influential in the formation of self-efficacy, Imitate the spirit of achievement attained by visual differently abled friends can support the formation of a positive selfefficacy, positive support from those closest to support the formation of a positive self-efficacy and overcome the difficulties encountered with the use of tools as media adaptation, receive blindness, seek help from others, and ask God's help. Interesting findings in this study indicate that visual differently abled students with different blindness backgrounds are active attitude when undergoing the lecture and actively involved in various extracurricular activities on campus like other students without a disability even though they experienced with blindness. Positive self-efficacy possessed participants can steer them in the determination of appropriate coping strategies and positive outcomes in life.
