Summary: | This study aimed at determining accountability, public service motivation,
organizational commitment, outstanding school performance, and the influence of
accountability for special needs school performance to a public service motivation
and organizational commitment as an intervening variable. This study also wished
to know the role of the government in managing / managing disabilities so that
they can carry out the mandate of Law No. 4 of 1997 that disabilities can be
independent and prosperous life.
This research was a quantitative research method based on questionnaires
of 191 respondents of Special Needs State School employees who are in the
province of Yogyakarta. Questionnaire was employed to gather the data. Data
were analyzed using descriptive analysis and path analysis (Partial Least Squares /
PLS).
Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it could be concluded that:
all the variables were in the high category with value: 59,162 % for school
