Objective. Objectives of this study were to explore the way occupational health
services provided by company doctors on 2 companies in Yogyakarta city and also
the underlying factors.
Method. This study is a descriptive one, with the approach of qualitative using
free in-depth interview and participative observation as the means of data
collection, enriched with data from companies.
Result. Occupational health services on both companies were not conform to any
regulations. The causes came from government, company doctors, buyers,
workers and especially companies. Companies did not conduct occupational
health services as standart because of companies� nescience about regulations so
that services were based on companies� self-interpretations.
Conclusion. Occupational health services provided on 2 companies in Yogyakarta
city were not consistent with standard stated in the regulation caused by selfinterpretation
of companies. |
