Relatively the raw materials of reinforced steel concrete is more expensive than the others so that make not economic, while the wood if used contionously will be scarce. Therefore we need an alternative material such as sawdust wood that can replace these as materials of the truss contruction. The purpose of this research is to get the information of which is the truss of alternative materials from combined concrete, sawdust wood mortared and reinforced steel without filling material can be aplicated in human live as the alternative choice except the reinforced steel concrete truss, light steel truss and wooden truss. The testing by using the full scale sample of the truss with 6 meters lengths and height 1.7 meters. The amount of sample are 3 units such as truss with concrete alternative material, sawdust wood mortared and reinforced steel without materal, light steel truss and reinforced steel concrete truss. The trusses would be tested by static loading. The loading used the cylinders concrete, which is placed in a basket and hung on the truss gradually, until the truss reached to the collapse (failure). The strain gauge was used as sensor equipment, which was installed to measure the deflection. The result of the research show that the truss of alternative materials can be aplicated to the construction of house bulding with requirement in a secure location of the disaster. The weigth of each concrete alternative material truss, reinforced steel concrete truss and light steel truss are 289.6 kg (58.34 %), 496.37 kg ( 100%) and 21.3 kg (4.29 %). The maximum bearing load of each structure of alternative truss, reinforced steel concrete truss and light steel truss are 2,608.49 kg (39.46 %), 6,611 kg (100 %) and 734.2 kg (11.11%). The maximum deflection of each structure of alternative truss, reinforced steel concrete truss and light steel truss are 10.36 mm (70.19 %), 14.76 mm (100 %) and 20.19 mm (136.79%). The contruction cost of each structure of alternative truss, reinforced steel concrete truss and light steel truss are Rp. 2.347.000,00 (92.26 %), Rp. 2.544.000,00 (100 %) and Rp. 1.740.000,00 (68.40 %).
