visible to the characteristics of strong and authenticity in a row house facade pattern
shophouse , with many stories that accompany the start of the earthquake and fire
repeatedly , change of role functioning home store , acculturation with natives ,
immigrants from outside Bengkulu , identity and love of the tribe , the place is
growing , changing and evolving until now would have been with a cause and a
purpose that has been planned by their respective owners . On the basis of these
stories were often happen to drive a typology of changes to the pattern of Chinese
shophouse house facade Malabero 1900 - present .
The research was conducted by using field observations conducted to obtain image
data present and the past through photos and information with the community , and
cultural historians in Bengkulu and Kampung China Malabero especially with
expectations conclusions can be obtained sequentially with keterkaikan the facade
pattern prior to emphasis to the building facade elements ( roof , walls and openings
of the building ) .
The results of this study , the grouping of the home store buildings from the period of
1900 - now it was apparent that the building facade elements become core elements
are still strong due to its original form as the identity of Chinese building roof
elements , namely Urban ( gable and mountains ) and the building next column as a
marker of a row of shophouse houses . Peripheral elements and the new element is
the element walls and openings of buildings as part of maintaining the consistency
and usability Chinese shophouse houses Malabero as Chinese urban settlements , as a
dwelling house , barn , bird nest while in D.I. Panjaitan Park Road Malabero with
experiences ( earthquake and fire ) that have passed since 1900 -present .
