The analysis result showed that femininity values in Tiga Venus have substantial effects in family life. The femininity values that related to the role of women in domestic area had substantial effects in creating and maintaining family harmony and tranquility. In contrast to femininity, masculinity value had a positive effect on women's private life. It could improve the women�s status in society, create personal pride, and open up the opportunities for women to show their ability in public and to show that they do not depend on men.
In addition, the analysis result also showed that the temperament, like femininity and masculinity, gender role, and women�s status both in domestic and public area could not be separated from the reproduction issue. Reproduction issue became a media which was used by patriarchy society in maintaining the men�s authority and domination, especially against women. Patriarchy in marriage life which there were the division of labors based on reproduction function affected in pressing the temperament.
Based on the analysis, it was also known that every women had different qualities in femininity and masculinity. These differences affected every women life, both in domestic and public area. Moreover, femininity and masculinity in every women had different influences in other women. So, every women could see and share their experiences with other women to develop their personal quality. Related with that, the quality of women�s femininity and masculinity were influenced by gender role, relation of the gender, and past experience.
Tiga Venus also became a media for an author to criticize the constructions of society related to the dichotomy between the domestic and the public area as well as between femininity and masculinity. In addition, Tiga Venus became an evidence of married women and had a role as a housewife that was able to work |
