Summary: | This research located at Kali Putih. The objectives of the research are (i) to study
lahar characteristic at Kali Putih and to determine impact of lahar on river morphology
change due to lahar following Merapi eruption 2010, (ii) to determine potential lahar
based on spatial modeling and how to reduce impact lahar on river morphology change.
Lahar occurrences data and rainfall data was used to derive the relation between
rainfall triggered lahar. Fieldwork measurement was used to derive lahar thickness.
Interpolation using krigging was applied in order to build lahar thickness map and to
measure volume of lahar. Granulometry analysis was used to represented lahar grain size
characteristic. Object based image analysis (OBIA) was applied in order to identify of
lahar extension 2010-2011, riverbank 2007, and riverbank 2012. DEM from topography
map Ci 2,5 m (2007) and from LiDAR resolution 2,5 m (2012) was used to asses riverbed
