Summary:Clothes have been left their natural function as a body protector. This is because clothes have a complex meaning, that is as an artifactual that delivering nonverbal communication. Who are you and where do you come from can be known from the way you are wearing certain clothes. It means, clothes have their roles and double senses: as a social skin that showing the culture afiliation all at once mirror of individual identity exspression. Therefore, the plurality sense of clothing make the analysis toward them cannot be enough using structural approach or for the opposite emphasizing individual subjectivity without linking the whole social characteristic. The rules of using clothes in an English Course, Basic English Course (BEC) is uncommon phenomenon. It is because nonformal English Course usually let their students to wearing their favorit clothes. The rules of clothing that is implied in that English Course is the obligation to wearing a veil for women moslem students. The rules of using veil becoming a problematic and interesting matter because BEC do not affiliation toward religious-based community organizations. This institute is owned and managed by individual. But, the comprehension toward the using of veil not merely a religious command. This is because on plurality meaning of clothing, there are a possibility of difference motivation and interpretation or between the purpose and practice of veiling. By lifting the story about the experience of the course, the participants in this research explain practices using veil as a response from the rules of using veil. Analysis is conducted to explain a plurality of the significance of the veil. The direction of research move from the concept of the veil in general then reduce in the context of the rules using veil in an institution course. The goal is to explain network of the thought which is the rationale behind the rules of using veil and explore the form of the approval of the the rule. To reach the goal, the concept of habitus Pierre Bourdieu in clarifying structure that is arranged in that rule without rulling out each of individual is used. Furthermore, to explain why the rules applied has been successfully established, the Foucauldian perseption is used for tracking the ideas that is established on social domain of BEC.
