description Traffic accidents are common problems that will continue to occur, therefore it needs to be addressed directly to reduce the number of accidents and losses due to accidents. Accidents at Jalan Magelang has an average of 160 events each year, which was a high number of accidents on national road in Sleman district. Several attempts to reduce the number of accidents is to identify hazardous locations crash and determine the causes of the accident. The first step is to know the characteristics of the accident and break up into several segments to get more detail in terms of handling. Then analyze the relationship between road conditions and environment that influence the occurrence of accidents with modeling is conducted. Identifying dangerous accident locations based on several methods: the distribution of data, the rate of accidents, fatality ratio, critical crash ratio, and predicted number of accidents. The main cause of accidents caused by the driver while based on road conditions and environment by modeling analysis found that causes: the width of the road (m), daily traffic volume (veh/hour), vehicle speed (km/hour), the volume in and out of vehicles (veh/hour), and pedestrian volumes (person/hour). Results of identifying dangerous accident locations obtained 8 of 23 hazardous locations obtained by the method of prediction models was considered the most appropriate number of accidents to identify hazardous location ratings crash.
