| Summary: | Literature is the art of written and printed work which has beautiful
meanings such as short story. In this research, �Gamja� a short stories written by
Kim Dong In, aims to find out why the main character on this story decided to
change the outlook life to reach self actualization. This research purposed to find
out how someone personality can changed and developed as the situation
happened in life. This analysis used Rogers Psychology Humanistic as main
theory because this theory focused on individual personality to found main
character personality changes and development, and for the aids theory used
structuralism to search who is the main character, character and also subordinate
character that give influence to main character about changing the outlook in life.
Using Rogers Psychology Humanistic theory the conclusions drawn the
analysis process is an individual will change and development their personality.
This personality�s changed and developed based on individual experiments or
field phenomena that happens directly or not to each individual. This experiment
makes individual built some subjective perspective about what best for itself and
surrounding environment. In other word, this individual getting easier to adapt,
tolerance and flexible about the environment in where individual lived. If can
doing well, this individual become a fully functioning person to reach self
actualization.
