study was to evaluate the level of noise, lighting and climate work at the workshop
and provide recommendations to the department workshop PT Pupuk Kalimantan
Timur.
This research was conducted at the department workshop workshops PT
Pupuk Kalimantan Timur for five days . There are 29 employees in the workshop. To
determine the characteristics of the employees then performed using the data
collection questionnaire. Noise measurement is using the Sound Pressure Level
Meter. Measurements were made on each machine that is in the workshop.
Measurements performed on each machine lighting using Lux meter in objects that
are being carried out machining. Working climate measurements performed using
Weight Bulb Globe Temperature at two points, each point measured 6 times. The
results of these measurements are then compared with the standards applicable in
Indonesia.
The results of the questionnaire showed that employees at the workshop was
dominated by employees who have a high school education or vocational level and
has worked in the workshop more than 10 years . As many as 48 % of employees feel
that their current work environment is quite noisy . 45 % of employees also feel that
quite disturbed by the noise there . 66 % of employees feel like to reduce the noise
levels that existed at the time of the workshop . As many as 48 % of employees feel
that the lighting in the workshop is good enough . According to 41 % of employees
feel that the air temperature at the workshop has been good . However, 62 % of
employees feel disturbed by the climatic conditions of work in the workshop today .
The results of measurements of noise levels on each machine in the workshop ranged
from 77.80 to 96 dB A with an average noise level of 82.54 dB A. The highest noise
generated by the grinding machine that is 96 dB A. The noise level exceeds the value
of the grinding machine noise threshold . Lighting on every machine ranges between
212-817 Lux . This suggests that the lighting in the workshop is still above the level
of lighting that is used to perform machining of 200 Lux . Work climate ( WBGT ) at
a workshop from 26 to 32.3 ° C with an average of 30.84 oC labor climate . In the
regulation of manpower and transmigration minister PER.13/MEN/X/2011 numbers
that the threshold value for the workload being is 26.7 oC . This suggests that the
working climate in the workshop above the threshold value WBGT work climate that
allowed it is necessary to control the working climate. |
