description | It has been done a research about organic waste organic waste processing by using Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) with additional Calcium Oxide (CaO). According to the preliminary representative samples examination, it is found that the quality of the samples depend on some factors, i.e. drying rate, water content, ashes content, volatility substance content, fixed carbon, and specific heat of oxidation. The specific samples of waste organic compound that consists of used papers and foliage were combined each other with certain method of variation. The quality of the RDF samples tested using desiccator, oven with laboratory standard, and bomb calorimeter. After passing preparation, processing, and analyzing data, we get a significant result. The highest calorific is 11th sample that has value (4071 ± 10) cal/gram and the smallest calorific is 3rd sample, its value only (3245 � 10) cal/gram. The physical and chemical characteristic of some samples did not show a good quality but, according to the results, all samples have high calorific value. It conclude that, organic waste processing by using Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) method is highly capable to produce energy from renewable source as an alternative to the fossil fuels.
