(College). This study aims to identify and understand the
leadership of the religious ( the Jesuits ) and the spirituality they
live by and apply into educational institutions.
This study used qualitative phenomenological
ethnography approach. Five persons were chosen as the main
participants. Phenomenological ethnographic qualitative
analysis is performed on data from interviews, field
observations, documentation in the form of Colleges� video
profiles and activity, a book of collected writings of the alumni
and the results of the interviews with 37 supporting participants.
There are three things that are found in this study. First,
the Ignatian leadership is \"driven\" by the spirit of experiencing
God�s love. Second, discernment is a typical method of the
Ignatian leadership. Third, the Ignatian leadership encouraged
people to �get out� from themselves. These three things
become the foundation of Jesuits to inspire colleges so that the
ability to implement positive values becomes the culture of the
colleges, which ultimately will result in students possessing the
3Cs (competence, conscience, compassion). |
