| Summary: | In each mapping activity, especially in the measurement of control points, azimuth measurement can not be abandoned. Calculating the azimuth of the sun observational data requires declination value and correction of semi diameter of the sun at the time of observation. Because provision of solar declination tables are difficult to obtain and there are a several steps in the matter of the azimuth of the sun which makes the calculation process becomes slow, it needs an application program created specifically to calculate the solar declination tables and calculate the value of the azimuth of the sun. So the calculation process can be done automatically by the application program.
Programming in this project is made by using the software Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 that can accelerate calculations and present the results of calculations to be more interactive. Testing this program is carried out by comparing the results of the calculation program created in this project with the results calculated in Accurate Time software.
This project is designed to develop a program that can be used to calculate the value of the azimuth of the sun and solar declination value. The declination tables are presented in Microsoft Word Document format. From calculations test results are obtained differences which are caused of the difference in calculation algoritm and number integration. However the difference is not more than 5� in declination value. So it could be said the results counted in the created program application, approach the correct result of a calculation. |
