Gunungkidul divided in to three zones depend on those topography and environmental conditions that effected in wood variation. Research in the boundary of juvenile and mature wood in teak from community forest is importance to support an appropriate utilization. To determine the boundary of juvenile and mature wood, this research was conducted by used 9 trees which grown in Gunungkidul community forest, Yogyakarta. By considering the sites (Semin, Wonosari, and Paliyan) and radial positions (near pith, middle, and near bark) the boundary of juvenile and mature wood was determined by three samples for each treatment. Heartwood percentage and boundary of juvenile and mature wood variation from those three different sites was analyzed by a one-way ANOVA whereas fiber dimensions variation was analyzed by two-way ANOVA and followed by HSD. The results showed that the boundary of juvenile and mature wood are Paliyan (133 mm), Semin (150.67 mm), and Wonosari (147.67 mm), respectively. In radial position, fiber dimension variation comprise of fiber length (near pith : 0.89 mm, middle : 1.06 mm ; near bark : 1.08 mm) and fiber wall thickness (near pith : 3.8 μm ; middle : 4 , 5 μm ; near bark : 4.5 μm). Teak wood from differences growth site showed variation in the fiber diameter (Paliyan : 28.5 μm; Semin : 25.6 μm; Wonosari : 25 μm), fiber wall thickness (Paliyan : 5.1 μm ;Semin : 3.7 μm; Wonosari : 3.9 μm), and vessel length (Paliyan : 0.25 mm, Semin : 0.268 mm, Wonosari : 0.22 mm). Heartwood percentage of teak wood are Paliyan (71.63 %), Wonosari (50.60 %), and Semin (40.04 %), respectively.
