| description | Community forest management activities can not be separated from the role of
society , where rural communities have a separate view of the role of masculine
and feminine . This phenomenon is called gender roles . Gender is a trait that is
formed from the presence of people's social and cultural factors on the different
roles of men and women.
The purpose of this study is to identify the types of activities performed
yng men and women based on role in managing community forests and to
determine the access , control and decision making in community forest
management done by men and women . The study was conducted in Wana Lestari
Menoreh cooperatives . Of these hamlets majority of respondents worked as a
farmer , and all respondents are members of Wana Lestari Cooperative Menoreh .
In research conducted from November to March , 2014. Technique of collecting
data through interviews and observation . Interviews were conducted to 30
respondents were spread across three Nglebeng of Hamlet Hamlet , Hamlet and
Hamlet Tosari Mejing each village 10 respondents were taken.
Based on the survey results revealed the activities undertaken include male
and female reproductive activity , productive and social communities . The
activity was conducted among men and women in each hamlet with balance.
Gender equality has been applied in each hamlet in the productive and social
activities . Access activities are activities performed by utilizing the resources of
men and women . Both together can utilize resources . Activity Resource control
in the form of control was also conducted jointly between men and women , as
well as decision-making activities in community forest management is done by
men and women . In determining the choice of men and women to consult with
each other to get the best decision |
