description The purpose of this research is to empirically examine the acceptance of social networking as the information and knowledge sharing media at Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada. This research combines the constructs from Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model. The respondents in this research are 230 students of FEB UGM. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is used as examination technique and AMOS IBM as analysis tool. The empirical test results show that system quality and information quality affect the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of using social networking positively and significantly. Then, perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment affect the behavior of social networking use positively and significantly, meanwhile perceived usefulness does not affect the attitude towards using the social networking significantly. Attitude towards using and perceived behavior control affect the intention to use social networking positively and significantly, meanwhile subjective norms does not affect the intention to use social networking. The results of this research may enrich the academic research related to technology acceptance, in this case social networking and describe the social networking acceptance as an information and knowledge sharing media at Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada.
