production, meat quality, reproduction�s performance, even death. This study
was carried out to determine the prevalence of beef cattle and also to determine
the influence of age, breed, and sex toward fasiolosis in Handini Mukti farm
group in Seyegan village. A total of 82 faecal samples were taken from rectal or
after defecation. The numbers of Fasciola sp. eggs were calculated by Parfitt and
Banks method. The prevalence (%) was counted and the association level was
analyzed using Chi-square (�2) and Odds Ratio (OR). Results of this study
showed that the total prevalence of fasiolosis was 24,72%. On the other hand,
cattle�s age (p > 0,05), breed (p > 0,05), and sex (p > 0,05) did not have any
significant influence. |
