Summary:Background: The quality of the service provided by hospital is affected by several factors, one of which is the quality of medical record. The implementation of these medical record is affected by the medical record staff. Every medical record staff has a certain perception of the working conditions. The medical record staff perception of the working conditions in the unit medical record will affect their motivation to do the job. Data of medical record staff perception of working conditions can be used as an evaluation in order to increase work motivation and quality of the services provided. The Research Objective: To determine the percentage of the medical record staff perception assessment of the working conditions in RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul, knowing the medical record staff perception of physical conditions of work, psychological conditions of work, and temporary/work rules conditions of work. Methods: Descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This study used a cross-sectional study design. The subject in this research were 20 medical record staffs, while the object of this research is the medical record staff perception. The techniques of the data collection in this research is a questionnaire, interview, observation and study documentation. The research instrument used was a questionnaire, interview guide, observation checklist and study documentation guide. Data were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman model. The validity of the data technique used technique triangulation. Results: The percentage of the medical record staff perception assessment of the working conditions in RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul is as much as 64.17% of the medical record staff have a good perception of working conditions, while 35.83% of the medical record staff doesn�t have a good perception of the working conditions. When viewed from the physical conditions of work, most of the medical record staff have a good perception of the light, music and color, but the sound and the temperature haven�t reached the medical record staff expectation. When viewed from the psychological conditions of work, most of the medical record staff was often bored and tired at work. When viewed from the condition of temporary/work rules, most of the medical record staff have a good perception of the standard hours of work, but there should be time off work to reduce fatigue
