| सारांश: | Merawu sub-watershed has a major role in contributing sedimentation to
the downstream area of Banjarnegara district particularly in the catchment area of
PB Jenderal Soedirman reservoir. This current situation causes environmental
problem in the watershed. To know this problem, it is need to do a degradation
analysis on the sub-watershed of Merawu .
The method for the analysis was using ArcView GIS 3.3 software based
on secondary data and maps and field data, the data were then used for overlay
analysis that indicates level of vulnerability of a watershed .
The results shows that the level of vulnerability or sub-watershed of
Merwau degradation was very high, especially in areas with high slope and in the
area with high land conversion. The level of degradated watershed can be reduced
by making sediment control structures preventing conversion of forest to
agriculture land and settlement increasing community empowerment program on
watershed management . |
