Summary: | Kotagede is an area that has a history of high value. Besides being known
as �Silver City�, in 1578 Kotagede is the capital of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom.
Currently, the development function Kotagede region as a whole leads to an
increase in the community's economy, triggering changes in the pattern of
enclosure. With the dominance of the commercial function of the building's
facade is dominated by a fairly wide opening and expansion of the street as a
private area. Without control, this causes a Kotagede region shift as a heritage
area periodically.
This research aims to identify the enclosure performance on Kemasan
streets, Kotagede and find out what is the most dominant variable in shaping the
enclosure performance. To facilitate the process of identification of the research
process is divided into three parts street section with different characteristics to
one another.
The identification process is done by elaborating the findings of the field
variables as enclosure framer which then became the basic in the preparation of
enclosure referral arrangement.
