Summary: | The low level of political participation of the community and the tendency of
changes in voting behavior of society, especially the age group that consistently
participate less in elections is beginner voters.
This is correlational research, with as many as 300 subjects research voters.
This study aims to determine the extent to which images perception of political
parties and presidential candidates trustworthiness influence to political participation
of voters. Collecting data in this study using the scale are, political participation scale,
images perception of political parties scale, and the presidential candidates
trustworthiness scale.
The results obtained show together perceptions of voters to images perception
of political and presidential candidates trustworthiness are able to contribute by 35.8
% predicting political participation and voters no significant difference between men
and women in political participation
