Summary: | This research discuss about the application of Bluetooth technology as a medium of communication between the sensors on the modern cars. The application of Bluetooth technology can reduce production costs, complexity and improve system reliability. This research is done by measuring the RSSI (received signal strength indicator. RSSI has been shown to determine the validity of the receipt of the data accurately. RSSI measurements performed using the HC-05 Bluetooth module as a receiver and Android smartphone as a transmitter. Measurements were performed in various scenarios Bluetooth transmitter and receiver positions. Position selected based on the location of the sensors that are common on conventional cars and the positions on the outside of the car body to determine the furthest distance that can be reached by Bluetooth. The results of this research is proven that Bluetooth technology can be implemented cars as a medium of communication between the sensor with reference to the average results of all scenarios RSSI measurements that meet the HC-05 Bluetooth standard. Although the average RSSI meet HC-05 Bluetooth standard, there are several scenarios that have probability RSSI value is below the standard HC-05 is quite large. The whole position has probablitas RSSI below HC-05 Bluetooth standard big enough to be on the outside of the car body, but to the whole scenario is chosen based on the location of the sensors that are common on conventional cars have a low probability and safe to be implemented by Bluetooth. |
