| Summary: | Dimensional stability is the important key in determining the success of
fixed partial denture treatment. Polyvinyl siloxane is one of the impression
material with best dimensional stability. The impression technique and the
pouring time of polyvinyl siloxane material are the factors that will influence the
dimensional stability of fixed partial denture finishing line and the distance
between finishing line. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of
pouring time and impression with polyvinyl siloxane as material related with
dimensional stability fixed partial denture finishing line and the distance between
finishing line.
This research run on 36 working model samples of fixed partial denture
which were made from polyvinyl siloxane filled with type IV gypsum. The sample
divided into 6 groups consist of 6 samples for each group. The groups also
classified as 3 groups with one step impression technique and the other three with
two steps impression technique. Each of the impression technique group poured
