| description | The growth and development of art�s life and its implementation on new media in the
recent few years have been increasing rapidly, from both of the academic environment and
independent community. The collaboration between different studies is very vital in developing
new media implementation, because this cross-discipline studies approach is a chance of art
media innovation.
Design problems that would be solved are (a) interaction between user, and (b) building
comfort. From the problems above, Situational Dialogue is the chosen concept to solve the
problem in designing an artist residency. Dialogue and interaction are the main element used to
solve the problems, because they are the media to form an intimacy. The concept had been broke
down into few points which explains the design implementation, such as (1) interaction as a
definition of space intimacy. The application of space definer elements and space configuration
is the ultimate aspect of this point to be succeed. (2) creation of a space design with multiinterpretated
perception. The usage of non-standard elements attracts user�s curiosity, and
triggers inspirations along with their own interpretation and perception of the space itself. |
