| Summary: | The availability of adequate Public Open Space (POS) is an alternative to manifest a sustainable urban development principles. Land acquisition for public purpose that generate public open space by the Yogyakarta City Government, is an effort that needs to be given attention. This study aimed to evaluate the provision of public open space in terms of physical space requirements, and to identify associated factors with the use of public open space in Yogyakarta City. The methods used in this research are quantitative and qualitative deductive. The data related to the provision of public open space are taken using the technique of field observations at 27 units, while the public open space data related to the use of public open space are taken using a questionnaire.
