Summary: | Earthquakes are natural disasters that often resulted in many casualties and damage to buildings, although only occurs for a few seconds only. KPFT UGM building is a reinforced concrete building built in 1985 is located in the city of Yogyakarta. On May 27th, 2006 occurred the earthquake in Yogyakarta and KPFT UGM building suffered some damage in the structural elements building. Therefore, conducted a study to evaluate the behavior and the performance level of the building structure KPFT UGM. Evaluation is done by Rapid Visual Screening according to FEMA 154 (2002). More detailed evaluation is based on FEMA 310 (1998). There are three stages of evaluation on FEMA 310, Stage 1 (Screening), Stage 2 (stage evaluation review of Design Capacity Ratio), Stage 3 (more detailed evaluation / Pushover). In Stage 2 is used Static Equivalent Load Analysis for linear static procedures and Response Analysis Spektrum.Procedure with an open portal modeling analysis. Earthquake loading refers to SNI 03-1726-2002 and SNI 03-1726-2011. Strength of structural elements calculated by SNI 2847-2002 and Response-2000. Stage 3 evaluation is done with a pushover analysis for nonlinear procedures in seismic zone 3 and seismic zone 4 land being SNI 03-1726-2002 and SNI 03-1726-2011 Yogyakarta region. Performance point is determined by the Capacity Spectrum Method based on ATC-40 (1996), which has been built-in in the SAP 2000 version 11. Levels of the performance are determined by the storey drift structure criteria implied by FEMA 356 (2000), FEMA 302 (1997) and ATC-40 (1996). The result showed that the performance point of the KPFT UGM building structure in accordance ATC 40 based storey drift to the roof and 3rd floor are Immediate Occupancy, 2nd floor is Life Safety, and the ground floor is Damage Control for. As per FEMA 356 and FEMA 302 based storey drift to the roof and 3rd floor are Immediate Occupancy, 2nd floor is Collapse, and the ground floor is Life Safety. Acceleration peak bedrock for KPFT UGM building Y-direction (northsouth) meet the requirements set by the SNI-03-1726-2002 seismic zone 3 (150 gal) and SNI-03-1726-2002 seismic zone 4 (200 gal), by SNI-03-1726-2011 Yogyakarta region (499 gal) does not meet the requirements and to the Xdirection (east-west) meets the requirements set by the SNI-03-1726-2002 seismic zone 3 (150 gal), based on SNI-03 -1726-2002 seismic zone 4 (200 gal) and based on SNI-03-1726-2011 Yogyakarta (499 gal) does not meet the requirements.
