Summary: | Hypertension that called the silent killer is one of the non-infecsious
diseases become very serious health problem. It is required compliance and
intensive treatment to control blood pressure. This study was conducted to
determine the effect of pharmacist counseling on adherence treatment and to
determine the relationship between adherence and treatment outcomes of patients
with hypertension of chronic disease management program members
(PROLANIS ) on family doctors in Kendal.
The study was conducted during the period of November 2013 - January
2014 in the form of quasi-experimental design with control group design with
pretest posttest. The sample size of 55 patients were randomly divided into two
groups of different subjects, namely the intervention group received counseling in
the form of pharmaceutical/research group were 28 patients and no intervention
(control) of 27 patients. Subjects of the study followed about two months to
observe the level of drug compliance of patients with the distribution of
questionnaires MMAS and therapeutic outcomes (decreased blood pressure )
before and after counseling.
Pharmaceutical counseling gives a significant difference between the level
of compliance before and after getting good counseling in patients with
hypertension , hypertension with diabetes or hypertension with other diseases
