| Summary: | Background.Medicines is important matter on implementation of health effort. In
indonesian, medicine is classified become generic and branded drugs. Obat generik
Berlogo is government�s program that made for all society to get medication. The
lack of society demand to generic drug become a problem that influencing medicine
using which is society perception about generic as an unquality medicine. Factor that
influencing medicine using are involving the government as policy maker, physicion
as prescriber, pharmacy as also hospital as a health service and society are a medicine
consumer.
Aim. The aims of is to indentifiy society�s intention generic drug use based on theory
of planned behavior by assessing onattitude toward behavior, subjective norms and
perceived behavior control.
Methods.This research was descriptive analitycal design. The data collected using
the questionnaire to 375 respondents and techniques of analyisis used multiple
regression analysis.
Result. This study founded that, there was a significant correlation amongattitude
toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control to influence
society intention to use the generic drug. (Sig p<0,05). The result showed that effect
of predictors toward society intentions accounted for 44,3 percent of the variance in
this variable (R2=0,443). Subjective norms is the strongest predictor for intentions
