| Summary: | This graduating paper entitled �Translating Korean in PT Krakatau Posco Department of
Ifonmaking in Coke Oven Plant� is a result of a research internship that has been done for three
months in PT Krakatau Posco, Cilegon, Banten. This graduating paper describes the activity and
steps as a translator in PT Krakatau Posco Department of Ironmaking in Coke Oven Plant.
Based on the data collection and research, there are some important tasks that is done by
the researcher in being a translator. It is related to the activity of interpreting and translating. The
researcher interpreted Korean into Bahasa Indonesiaa in the activity of training for the engineer
and foreman by the supervisor, interpreted the inspection, translated some documents and made a
handbook contained Korean-English engineering vocabulary especially for Coke Oven Plant
Team. Each activity was done step by step. The steps are preparation, production, and
evaluation. The researcher also had a lot of obstacles, but the researcher could overcome the
difficulties through the right solutions.
