Summary:Background: The storage system is implemented in Surakarta Islamic Hospital is a centralized system with two alignment systems alignment system that is a direct number (straight numerical filing system) and the final number system (terminal digit filing). Medical records before 2010 are stored in the system directly while the number of medical records after 2010 are stored at the end of the number system. Each system has advantages and disadvantages, so it needs to be seen is there any difference in the time and accuracy of medical record file retrieval. While the future provision of medical records for patients who need health care at outpatient installation is less than 10 minutes as stated in Kepmenkes 129 of 2008 on the minimum service hospital. Goals: To determine the ratio of time and accuracy of the provision of medical record file that is stored in straight numerical filing system and terminal digit filing system in Surakarta Islamic Hospital. Method: This is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. The design of the study is a cross-sectional design. Data collection techniques in this study is the observation, interview. Object of this research is the implementation of the provision of medical record file outpatients and subject of this research is the filing officer and head of the sub-sections of medical record. Results: There were no differences in the implementation of the provision of medical record file outpatients in Surakarta RSI saved by the juxtaposition of straight numerical filing system or with a terminal digit filing system. Results of Mann Whitney test p-value <0.05 indicates the difference between the provision of medical record files of patients in the outpatient long RSI Surakarta between medical records stored by the juxtaposition of straight numerical filing system or with the juxtaposition of the terminal digit filing system. As for the accuracy of the provision of medical record file is no difference in the level of precision of the provision of medical record file that is stored on a straight numerical filing system or with a terminal digit filing system. The average time a file providing outpatient medical records in Surakarta RSI stored on straight numerical filing system was 5.3 minutes, while the terminal digit filing system is 4.3 minutes. The level of accuracy of the patient's medical record file providing outpatient longer stored on the straight numerical filing system is 100% while the terminal digit filing is 100%. Factors affecting the time difference between the provision of medical record file storage system with the juxtaposition of straight numerical filing system or with a terminal digit filing system is a kind of shelf storage and use of color coding.
