| description | This study aims to determine the condition of routine blood and ovarian weight of rats (Rattus norvegicus) after giving banana peel Extract. Experimental animals used were twenty female white rats aged three months and the same weight that has been adapted for 2 weeks . Twenty rats were divided into 4 groups consisting of five rats. A control group as a force-fed with 1 cc of distilled water. Group B is force-fed with 10 %banana peel extract 1 cc. Group C force-fed with 20 %banana peel extract1 cc. Group D force-fed with 40 %banana peel extract 1 cc. Giving is done once a day every morning for 2 weeks. Blood sampling through retroorbitalis plexus at the end of treatment. Observations of blood covering the number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin levels, Packed Cell Volume (PCV) and total plasma protein (TPP). Then,do a necropsy on rat and ovaries taken ovaries. The ovaries weighed.Routine blood condition and ovarian weight of rat were analyzed statistically using ANOVA .
The results showed that the number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin, PCV and TPP are significant differences (P < 0.05) in all treatments. The research of neutrophils, eosinophils, lymphocytes and monocytes and ovarian weight was not a significant difference (P > 0.05) in all treatments. Although the statistical parameters as a result of treatment observations give different results, but when viewed from the average results of the study showed that 10 % banana peel extract (group B) gives the best result of the condition of routine blood and ovarian weight. This can be seen from the increase in all parameters of the study compared to other treatments, but the increase was still within the normal range. So that 10 % banana peel extract (group B) can be used as an alternative feed instead of concentrates. |
