Summary: | Beef cattle are favorite animals among the society, particularly to meet the
national meat supply. The objective of the writing of this thesis (TA) is to identify
the presence of parasitic worms infecting beef cattle in Yogyakarta City which is
obtained.
The tests conducted were the native and centrifuge methods on the feces
samples of the beef cattle of four subdistrict around Yogyakarta. The data were
obtained by documentations and interviews in UPT Poliklinik Hewan Giwangan,
Yogyakarta.
The result of the examination of the feces are Trematoda worm (Fasciola
sp, Sichsostoma sp) and Nematoda worm (Trichostrongylus sp, Strongylus sp,
Bunostomum sp, Oseopagostomum sp, Ascaris sp, Paramphistpmum sp, Trichuris
sp, Capilaria sp, Strongyloides spp). Percentage occurence parasit worm infection
at frist four months 2013 is 12,3%, Percentage occurence parasit worm infection
at frist four months 2014 is 25,75% and the higest occurence show in strongylosis
Based of the beef cattle�s feces samples examined is that two kind of
parasitic infection wich are found sauch as nematoda and trematoda. Strongylus
sp is the most commonly found. Percentage occurence paracitic at frist four
months 2013 year is more less than frist four months 2014 year.
