Summary: | Hog cholera is contagious disease which infects swine all of age. This is a
viral contagious disease which is caused by hog cholera virus. The virus is
included in the genus of Pestvirus and in the family of Flaviviridae. This research
aimed at detecting the hog cholera seropositive prevalence and factors in
Sukoharjo regency. Ninety three serum samples were taken from 5 sub districts, 5
villages, and 10 selected farms in Sukoharjo regency, in which they were taken by
it�s cluster. The selected blood samples were then analyzed by serologis ELISA
test in order to know the level protective. The data of swine and breeders were
collected by using a questioner asking about the association and factors cause hog
cholera seropositive. For analyzing the data, the researcher used chi square test in
order to know the association between hog cholera seropositive and strength of
association was analyzed by odds ratio. The research showed that 27 serum
samples out of 93 (29%) were resulted by hog cholera seropositive. The risk
factors that association with hog cholera seropositive in animal level and animal
husbandry in Sukoharjo regency is type of swine (�2 = 29,9
