Summary:The theme of this report is about decreasing of retired dossiers in PT TASPEN (Persero) branch Yogyakarta. The purpose from this report is to know the decrease method that PT TASPEN (Persero) branch Yogyakarta does. The decreasing of retired dossiers that PT TASPEN (Persero) branch Yogyakarta did have not fully focused at JRA (retention archives schedule). The implementation of the decreasing of retired dossiers includes an appraisal retired dossiers activities, moving the retired dossiers which considered destroyed from dossier processing unit retirement (field of service) to the record center under the auspices of personnel and general field and also destroyed the dossier. The data gathering process use three methods. First, observation method that is gather the data and information by creating a direct monitoring and noting the event that happen on the object that monitored. The second method is interview, that is a data gathering technical by doing questioning and answering directly to the all parties that connect to this theme. Interviewing do with two ways that are scheduled interview and not scheduled interview. The third method is literature study, do by finding and gathering the data from many literature resources and literature research that related with the theme of the final assignment. The main conclusion from this report is the implementation of the decreasing of retired dossiers in PT TASPEN (Persero) been implemented properly by using a good system that called JAD System, but in the implementation have not fully refer to the existing JRA system. The decrease implementation that compromise the dossier assessment process, transferring dossier that will be extinct from the unit processing to the record center and extermination the dossiers which have considered will not used again. The existing obstacle that related with the decreasing of dossiers retired is in human resources. Remembering the dossier officer only two persons and do not have background in archives education. And then lack of the archives saving room that causing trouble when the data will move to record center and less of socialization about JRA that run to the archives officers so that the decrease implementation have not running effective
